I discovered (real) scientific research on a trip to Cuba in 2007. There I studied for a long time with some excellent specialists in psychology and pedagogy.<\/p>\n\n\n

In those stays, I realized that I had been empirically researching for a very long time. I began to understand the usefulness of research in education through the participatory action research paradigm and I was delighted with it.<\/p>\n

I learned many research strategies, techniques, and resources, but the most important thing was to understand, from the bottom of the matter, the usefulness and importance of research in education. Since then, that butterfly flutters in my stomach whenever it comes to seeing a human being learning.<\/p>\n

I love to observe the phenomenon of learning. In a child, in an adult, in the way we re-learn to walk when any accident happens, the way we practice a sport as a hobby, how we solve a problem to play an instrument, or whatever. If it has to do with learning, I’m interested.<\/p>\n

I worked as an intern at my university in Castell\u00f3n, in Havana, in research teams in Mexico City and Valencia, until I directed research projects or departments in Barcelona or directed educational research centers. Undoubtedly, a path that has marked my life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I am currently the director of the Global Institute for Music Research<\/a>. A huge project that we have been developing for years with a great team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have written some communications on the subject and I leave them here in a list, briefly outlined in case they may be of interest to anyone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this paper I present a total of 64 cases of attention to learning difficulties. Chapter 1 contains the theoretical justification. Chapter 2 presents a historical analysis of trumpet methodology in relation to the nineteenth-century concept of talent. Chapter 3 shares a theory specific to expert motor practice (EMP) and the specific learning difficulties of the skill set that make up EMP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a didactic material designed in conjunction with artist and designer Oded Medina. It is a diary where the student takes note of his progress in a simple way through a series of sections. The material allows to support the musical instrument classes in the music school or conservatory and to collect the learning, the teacher’s suggestions and the general follow-up of the process. It includes a record of the auditions, of each week’s objectives, a record of progress in the study of tonalities, a record of sensations and emotions surrounding learning, among many other aspects. All this induces the development of different skills that are considered essential for the practice of a musical instrument. <\/p>\n\n\n

This book presents the case of the co-author, Carlos Mercado, of the application of the methodology for the attention of learning difficulties designed by Dr. Albert. It starts with an autobiographical study, describes the problem from a narrative style and proposes the project to be followed. Each of the stages is described, as well as the progress made and the difficulties encountered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
